Providing meals that support YOUR journey to a healthy lifestyle!

A healthy lifestyle of living and eating is our theology. We use fresh vegetables and fruits and all proteins are clean and humanely raised (antibiotic free, steroid free, nitrate free bacon, Mississippi raised grass fed beef, and wild caught fish, and Gulf Shrimp.) The platform is proteins and moderate to low carb. See  www.healthline.com for more information on high protein low to moderate carb meals. Macros are available on request. Our mission is to help you on your journey to a healthier lifestyle by providing quality, clean food thats full of flavor! Additionally, we have support staff such as a life coach, trainer, and of course Chef Zac and di to help you along the way!
Since we first started operating in 2000, we’ve seen a great deal of change in the local food scene and we’re proud to be playing our part in helping to alter tastes and perceptions about what food should be. Browse our products online or visit us in person to experience Wholey Foods for yourself.

Our Story

It all started a long time ago in the small community of Bay Saint Louis, MS, when we (a young chef named Zachary Fillhart and his mama di) dreamed of a day when fresh foods could proudly strut their fabulous flavors. In the process, we discovered an opportunity to give hope to others who could learn job and life skills while experiencing fresh healthy foods. In 2013, this discovery birthed what is known today as the Starfish Café, a local nonprofit restaurant located at 10408 Highway 603 in Bay St Louis, Mississippi.

Over the past seven years, we have had may requests for freshly prepared meals that could be readily available for “Grab & Go”. Two years ago, we began diligently looking for an opportunity that would allow us to offer this type of meal planning service, and as our research deepened, we found plenty of “diets”. But what stood out to us was the absence of healthy lifestyle eating, which was a important factor in any meal service we would venture into.

You see, this was a cause close to our hearts. In 2004, even though di was a active energetic individual without health problems, she was morbidly obese, weighing in at over 340 pounds! She was eventually challenged by a Dr. that was helping Zac in his weight loss goals and the journey began with drinking lots of water! Ninety days later, with a loss of 15 pounds, the Dr. again challenged her. This time it was to start eating a healthier diet. Since then, di has lost over 200 pounds!! The thing is, her journey was not wrapped in fad diets, surgery, or lots of gym time. Instead, she chose to stop eating fast foods. Then to eat more “whole” foods; meaning fresh veggies, fruits, and meats.
